Our front porch spider is still doing its thing, and there's an even larger one several feet away with a web stretching down from the tree out front down to the hedges, but I couldn't(ain't gonna try) get close enough to get a good pic of the other bugger...I shared a photo of the spider on reddit, spiders subreddit, and was told it may be of the species, Neoscona crucifera. And here is the wikipedia entry.
