I had surgery on my left arm this past Friday. If I counted correctly, there are 54 staples.The AV fistula surgery is to get me ready for dialysis, once my kidneys reach that failure point, which my kidney doctor estimated to be in the coming months.
The nurses in pre-op had said the incision would be closed with surgical glue, when I'd asked while waiting for my turn on the operating table, but I guess they decided the Frankenstein look suited me better, lol.
