They can be handy for clipping a keyring/keychain to a belt loop, or attaching a water bottle or other items to a bag or backpack and so on. Mochibrand offers the black model as an accessory to the mochibags, including my collaboration version, the VENOM mochi by Stormdrane, so just a plug there for that. ;)
A bit of knot work can be added to personalize them, with maybe some ringbolt hitching or a Turk's head knot variation, using paracord or smaller diameter cordage...
