Jalapeño-Cheddar Popovers

Tried this recipe from for Jalapeño-Cheddar Popovers, and the result was okay, edible, but not a favorite for me.

I don't know if it was the ingredients I used, or the cooking heat/time, which following the directions had them already getting brown before the first 15 minutes at 450 degrees was up, so no reduced temp to 375 for another 8 to 12 minutes.  That would have turned them into blackened brick hockey pucks...

Ma & Pa like them, and of the 19 that were made, only 3 remain a day later, lol...
