Spring yard work...

Was at Home Depot just after 6AM this morning to buy a dozen bags of pine bark nuggets, which were spread out among the hedges and around our tree out front this morning. Could probably have used twice that many, but spreading it out with a rake made it look passable...

The lawn care guys came by for the first time this year and cut the front yard, trimmed hedges, and edged the walk and driveway, but they didn't tell us they were coming, so we didn't have the gate to the back unlocked for them.  I guess those weeds will continue to flourish until they come back in a couple of weeks, lol...

There's yellow pine pollen all over the vehicles and everything else outside right now.  Going out to get the newspaper at around 4AM, and my flashlight beam illuminated a swirling fog worth of the stuff.

The weather forecast was for rain this weekend, but aside from a few minutes of sprinkles, it doesn't look like we're gonna get what's needed to clear the air, at least briefly, of the sneezy, itchy, watery eye causing storm of plant reproduction at work....
