But, I received a spam text to my cell phone after reading this info. Coincidental? Maybe, but it doesn't hurt to register your ph# with the list, and registering a home ph# definitely helps stop some of the telemarketers.

Interesting... I'd received the email from my dad a couple of days ago and just yesterday I received a text message to my cell phone from some online dating service. I rarely use my cell phone, and don't give the number out, it's primarily just for emergencies, so I wonder how my number was obtained for the text message?
I've recently been recieving calls daily from HSBC(Household bank-18003952274) to my cell phone for the past week. I have no idea how they got my cell phone #. They're automated calls that say 'Please hold' and mention Household bank,at which point I hung up.
I've emailed the company to remove my name and number and cease all calls. They responded that they'd forward my request to the proper department.
